A Toast To 2020!

Here we are, FINALLY at the end of 2020. For the last 10 months, clients, friends and family have all wanted to press fast forward on the year that dragged on endlessly in a dark tunnel with no flicker of light to guide us out.

Hopes were high going into 2020 with excitement for the year of “Clear Vision”. Not sure what that would look like in practice, we knew by the end of the year we would have great clarity about something…anything! When you google “2020 Year of Clear Vision”, the results are in the millions. Collectively we dreamt of this ubiquitous crystal-clear ability to see and know.

While in the thick of any experience, it’s often hard to see the value. This year is no different. Certainly nothing seemed abundantly clear while moving through the last several months that continue to feel like quick sand. However, before you pop the cork on your bottle of bubbly to usher in 2021, I encourage you to press pause and savor this moment.

Yes, savor right now and savor this year.

As we say farewell to the year we didn’t anticipate (or hope for), ask yourself these questions to find your meaning, value and clarity in the hundreds of days that we endured over the last year.

1.     What is your resilience super power (that thing that allowed you to keep bouncing back)?

2.     What people in your life have been essential in helping you stay afloat?

3.     What is the most important thing you learned about yourself during the year?

4.     How have you evolved and grown over the last year?

5.     What is something new that you started in 2020 and want to continue into the New Year?

There are powerful messages, and an abundance of clarity, that has been gifted to us in 2020.

Time to open that gift.
